Mere days after the Skype app has come out for the Android Market, it has been hacked to allow 3G calling. Originally this app was designed to be usable for the moment only on wi-fi. It is not very shocking at all that this app would get hacked sooner than later, but for the hackers to be this fast is somewhat ridiculous. I guess thanks are to go to xeudoxus over at Droid Forums though. Thanks to this user a Skype version usable for 3G calling is available to load on the side. It has yet to be tested on all carriers but if it does work universally this is a huge breakthrough for the Skype app.
