There is a leak that the new Android OS 3.0 Gingerbread could have new Google Voice services over wi-fi and built in video chatting. Both of which are very necessary in order to compete with IOS and Windows Phone 7. There are also many new features in which it will have which will give the Android OS more life. Some of which are better looking icons, the screen bouncing when you hit past the top or bottom of the page, and Google Voice over data or wi-fi are just a few. It is definitely going to make all Android devices capable of making the leap to Android OS 3.0 Gingerbread much much better. On another note the fact that they will be better incorporating Google apps is a good sign that they will probably not be converting this Android OS into a more Bing oriented device.
