With new devices out now and more coming soon, sales of iPad accessories, iPhone 4S cases and more could bring in $5 billion by 2015, according to The Fiscal Times.

"Global revenue for the accessories market will hit an estimated $50.2 billion by 2015," the news source stated. "Apple-related products will make up between $5 billion and $6 billion of that."

With a glass display and back, the iPhone 4 and 4S are both aching for accessories and protective cases, according to Investorplace. The news source said there's a market for cases to protect other smartphones and tablets as well, but it doesn't quite compare with the need there seems to be for Apple accessories among consumers.

While there are three kinds of iPhone and two kinds of iPad being produced, Investorplace said there are dozens of models of other cell phones and tablets out there. There may be more of a need for people to customize their Apple devices with accessories, whereas other devices offer their own personality.
