A company specializing in mobile phone accessories announced new backpacks that can hold 15-inch MacBook Pros with a separate area specifically for iPads or other similarly sized tablets.

Mobile Edge introduced two new Ultrabook/Tablet Backpacks under its Sumo brand, each of which is designed for a different size, one for heavier laptops and one for lighter laptops. There are zipper pockets for storing cellphones, as well as padded shoulders to make the backpack easier to carry.

"Based on user feedback and the recent explosion in tablet sales, our design team created a stylish backpack that is ideally suited for today's active women," said G. David Cartwright, president and CEO, Mobile Edge. "Combining protection for a tablet and an Ultrabook, our new Sumo Combo Backpack reflects the changing environment in mobile computing."

One company, G-Form, is getting a bit more hype in the area of iPad 2 accessories, as its Extreme Edge case has gone viral. A video shows an iPad in the bag being dropped from space and surviving. Both companies have gotten exposure at the International Consumer Electronics Show.
