We all knew that the Gorilla Glass used on all iPhone models was a very tough and scratch proof glass however one Japanese company, Ashai, has made a new glass called Dragontrail. The Dragontrail glass is supposed to be six times tougher than conventional glass and it can withstand up to 60 kilos of pressure before breaking. This is very impressive considering that this is meant for portable devices, which means that this glass is not only very durable, but it is also extremely thin making it ideal for portable devices. It will be interesting to see exactly where the Dragontrail glass will end up, but they have high hopes such as taking up 30% of the market by 2012.
