This small looking device may not look like much, but in reality it is the fastest data transfer device openly available to us. The Thunderbolt is the new standard connection to peripherals to your computer which is supposed to work 20 times faster than a USB 2.0 and about 12 times faster than Firewire 800. This is impressive since, both are considered to be pretty fast already, but they simply cannot compare to the 10GB per seconds that the Thunderbolt will be pushing. Unfortunately for all of you Windows users this new technology will be released with the new Macbook Pros first. I am sure that in due time it will be coming to Windows, but for now we will simply have to wait and see just how long it will take for it to reach us.
