What ever did happen to the unlimited data plans offered by cell phone companies? Verizon appears to be bringing the unlimited data plan option back to customers when they launch the iPhone on Verizon. This is fairly different from the current tiered system which is available now, however according to Wall Street Journal this will only be offered for a limited time. I think that this would be a smart move on Verizon’s part since by offering unlimited data for only a short period of time, they will successfully gain many customers on just that promotion. It will also help to promote the iPhone sales since it is a device which would constantly use data. Whatever way this goes, the unlimited data plan with the release of the iPhone will definitely make a difference in how many people want a Verizon iPhone.
