Scott Creations recently announced the availability of a line of handbags and cases designed for people who love their iPads but hate the inconvenience of carrying them around unprotected.

In an attempt to marry technology and fashion, Scott Creations' new Versetta line of bags allows iPad users to carry and interact with their tablet without having to take it out of its case.

At first glance, the bags look like any other purse, handbag or attache. But each also features a protective flap which can be opened to provide instant access to one's tablet.

"No longer do women have to dig in their purse to find their tablet, nor do they have to carry a separate bag to carry their iPad safely and securely," said Scott Creations founder Susan Scott in a press release.

Scott Creations is offering its Versetta line in a variety of colors, including black and brown for business-minded iPad users, and pink, yellow, coral and turquoise for those who prefer a little flair with the media tablet accessories.

A fashionable iPad carrying case might not appeal to everyone, but the tablet itself is still making a great deal of noise among consumers. According to a recent Computerworld report, Apple plans to sell 40 million iPads this year.
