A sharp increase in interest in Samsung accessories and LG accessories may be due to growth in the number of mobile phone sales each company has seen.
According to comScore's latest data, the two companies experienced growth between March and June. Samsung, the top manufacturer in the mobile phone sector, took an even larger lead in the market during the timeframe, growing from 24.5 percent of the market in March to 25.3 percent in June. Meanwhile, LG began to catch up, from 20.9 percent in March to 21.3 percent in June.
However, Apple saw more growth than either, increasing its market share from 7.9 percent to 8.9 percent in the same period.
The research is the latest in a string of reports that have gauged growth by both Samsung and Apple in the mobile market. Each has become more attractive to mobile phone owners as Nokia has removed itself from the market, while it develops new smartphones based on Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 OS.
However, Apple figures to continue its growth, with the much anticipated release of the iPhone 5 expected to come in October.
