Electronics manufacturer Samsung today announced the availability of a slew of mobile accessories for its recently released Galaxy Tab 10.1.

According to Samsung, the "Premium Accessory Suite" features a number of new accessories designed specifically for the Android 3.1 tablet, including keyboard and multimedia docks, protective cases, HDTV adapters and battery chargers.

The company also announced it would release more "key accessories" later this summer. This lineup will include a full-sized Bluetooth keyboard as well as an SD card adapter and USB connection kit, enabling users to transfer media directly from their digital cameras to their tablets.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 was released earlier this month following the middle-of-the-road success of Samsung's first tablet last year. The Galaxy Tab 10.1 is Samsung's first tablet to run on Android 3.1, and it also features a 1.0-gigahertz dual-core processor, two cameras and Adobe Flash Player support.

While Samsung's success in the tablet market has been mediocre, it has been dominant in the smartphone market recently. According to a recent report from Nomura, Samsung is expected to overtake Nokia to become the No. 1 smartphone manufacturer this quarter.
