SportsGeeks shared intruiging information regarding where technology is headed in his monthly tech talk session at Geek Headquarters. One of the highlights was his piece on mobile payments.

“As I mentioned during the presentation, mobile payments are being touted as “big thing” in mobile tech.  Mobile payment companies are pushing for the ability to use your phone as a credit card at a multitude of shops.  With that in mind, I have a few questions for you.

  • If this technology becomes widely available, will you be interested in using it?
  • If you can be assured that using a mobile payment method is just as safe as using a credit card, which would you rather use?
  • What do you see as the biggest benefit of using mobile payments?”

      • Eliminate the need to carry multiple cards
