Some people have been complaining that the color temperature on the Samsung Nexus S has been giving them issues and not depicting darker shades very well on lower brightness settings. Unfortunately for us as we can see from the image above, the update subtly changes the colors making them appear to be more warm, but when you are simply taking a quick glance at your phone you won’t notice the change.

So far Android has been competing with iOS for the top spot in mobile device OS, but Android has had one pretty large issue which Google has finally released a solution for. That problem was that you can only download the apps on your phone, and there was nowhere on your computer or on the internet where you could purchase or really browse through all of their available applications.

Originally TouchType showed off it’s SwiftKey app for tablets at CES and it was pretty interesting, and now they have adapted it for Android 3.0. By working with Google and Motorola this will be released alongside with the Motorola Xoom tablet. SwiftKey is designed for a very thumb friendly typing experience so that you can hold your tablet on both sides and type, rather than either putting it on your lap to type or using one hand.

It may not be as fast as the Galaxy S series when it is overclocked, but the Samsung Nexus S can be stably overclocked at 1.4GHz. This is not too much less than the 1.6GHz of the Galaxy S series, but when we think about it is that much speed really necessary on a smartphone.

What could possibly be better than going to a foreign country and actually knowing what the signs say? With the Word Lens app, by simply snagging a photo of a sign or any text in a foreign language the app will instantly translate it for you. This app is powered by Google Translate.

We have all known that Google has been working on Chrome OS for a while now, but now for the first time we get to see what this device actually looks like. Since Chrome OS is still in the beta stages, Google has made it clear that this device is not for the masses just yet. The CR^48 is a very plain looking device which only comes in black at the moment and has absolutely no branding.

Google Documents is already a great add on to Google’s overall experience, but it was made just that much better when they added mobile editing. The mobile editing for Google Documents while still relatively simple will allow you to edit them on your Android device or IPhone/IPad. The edits will appear same time as if you were on your computer.

Very soon after their last hosted event Facebook may have another to unveil their latest project that they have been working on with Titan email client. They claim to have been working on this fully functional webmail service since last February. The client will come fully with an @facebook.com personal address. Internally they have been calling this the “GMail Killer” which couldn’t make their intentions any more obvious

The people at Google had a single leak about how they were giving all of their employees a 10% raise plus cash bonuses for the holidays. Apparently the heads of Google do not want outsiders to know how well they treat their employees so they have gone ahead and terminated this leak.
